2016年9月，泰晤士高等教育发布了2016-2017年度第13版世界大学排名，其中牛津大学排名第一。但牛津大学的对于学生的A-level成绩要求非常高。
A-level的成绩分为A、B、C、D、E 五个等级，A 为最优，E 为通过。如果学生对某门课的考试成绩不满意，可以选择重考，以最好的成绩作为最终成绩获得证书。
PS：医学类专业课程必须在同一学年内完成三个A-level课程且成绩达到A*AA，医学类专业以外课程可以在两年内完成。
